Martyn Wilson – Director
For Martyn, renovating homes has never just been about construction. It’s about solving problems, building trust and creating spaces that genuinely improve the way people live. With more than two decades of experience across the UK, and Australia, he brings together technical knowledge, practical trade skills and commercial expertise to every project Blue Sky Home Renovations undertakes.
Martyn began his career in the UK as an electrician before progressing into civil engineering, where he worked in surveying, project management and contract administration on a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Those roles taught him the importance of planning, precision and communication, lessons that continue to shape the way Blue Sky Home Renovations operates today.

In 2020 and obtaining a Building Licence in NSW and QLD, alongside business partner Richard Borwell, he co-founded Blue Sky Home Renovations with a simple vision: to build a renovation company that clients could genuinely trust. One that delivered outstanding workmanship, communicated openly and treated every home with the same care and respect they would expect in their own.
Today, Martyn oversees every stage of the renovation process, from the initial consultation and planning through to project completion. He believes that great renovations aren’t achieved by chance. They come from careful preparation, experienced tradespeople and a relentless attention to detail. That philosophy has helped Blue Sky Home Renovations become one of the highest-rated bathroom renovation companies on the Mid North Coast and establish a growing reputation on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
When he’s not on site or working with clients, Martyn enjoys spending time with his young family and continues to look for ways to improve the systems, processes and customer experience that have become a hallmark of the Blue Sky brand. His goal has always been simple: deliver a renovation experience that’s just as impressive as the finished bathroom.
Richard Borwell – Director
Richard brings decades of building experience gained across the UK, and Australia. With a Business Degree and a Diploma in Building and Construction, he combines practical construction knowledge with strong project management and business expertise.
Before relocating to Port Macquarie, Richard owned and operated a successful carpentry company in Sydney, delivering high-quality residential projects and leading skilled trades across a wide range of renovations.
Having called Port Macquarie home for the past eight years, Richard is passionate about helping local homeowners transform their bathrooms, ensuites and laundries. He is committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, clear communication and a renovation experience that is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
When he’s not on site or managing projects, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife and children and is proud to call the Mid North Coast home.
